Lumium for legal

Privilege survives the tooling.

Matter work is confidential by default. Sending it to a vendor tenancy is a privilege question, so the tool has to run where the files already are.

Confidentiality is the product constraint

Firms want help with review, drafting, and research. The tools that offer it usually require the material to leave the firm's control, which turns a workflow improvement into a professional responsibility problem.

Lumium runs on the firm's infrastructure. Client material, matter files, and work product stay in the firm's database and object store.

Matter isolation comes from the project boundary: a project holds its own conversations, artifacts, files, and knowledge, and nothing bleeds sideways.

What your reviewers will ask

Confidential material

Files and conversations stay in the firm's own database and storage.

Matter isolation

Work is scoped to a project. Knowledge and notes do not carry across matters.

Work product provenance

Runs record what was read, what was produced, and which tool made each change.

Firm oversight

Membership decides access. Sharing a conversation with a colleague is explicit, not a side effect.

What you actually deploy

  • One Node process inside your network
  • SQLite or libSQL database you already back up
  • Local object storage, or S3-compatible when you need it
  • Model registry with a per-project allowlist and your own keys
  • Project membership as the authorization boundary
  • Encrypted secrets that never enter prompts or logs
  • Ledger records with an organization-wide sequence
  • Approval-gated, audited tool calls
  • No telemetry of its own

Lumium is in early access. There is no certification to point at yet, and nothing on this page should be read as one.
